New Years Annoucements
Happy New Year!!
We hope that 2010 finds you safe and healthy. So far, the year has been good to us, and even though it’s only a few days in, we are very excited about the site and the progress we have made.
Our first item of business is to announce the winners for our two contests that ended on December 31, 2009.
The MVF Lair Post & Win contest awarded members a certain amount of points for each post made in specific forums. The winner for this contest, and recipient of a $40 gift card to Barnes & Noble is….

The MVF Dungeon Read, Rate & Post contest awarded members points for each review left, as well as each chapter and/or o/s story they posted. This was a close race and we had three members who scored far above everyone else.
3rd runner up was dreamsofjosten; who had a total of 56 chapters and 22 reviews, bringing her score to 682.
2nd runner up was fandom favorite, ysar, with a total of 91 chapters for a score of 910.
and 1st place, and winner of the Read, Rate & Post contest, with a total of 100 chapters for a score of 1,000 points is…
*Megsly!
Megsly is also the recipient of $40 gift card to Barnes & Noble!
Congratulations ladies! We hope to see more from you both, and we hope you enjoy the goodies you will get with the gift cards.
*admin note: MVF Admins, writers & contributors, forum moderators and validation betas are exempt from any prizes. While it is true that Megsly is a new staff writer, she does not join our staff until January 4, 2010. Due to the fact that she was not a member of our staff for any of the duration of the Read, Rate & Post contest, the MVF Admins have deemed that she was elligible for this contest. Megsly, as well as any other staff member, will be inelligible for any future contests, challenges or promotions at MVF as long as they choose to remain on staff.
Our Second item of business is something we have been itching to announce as well:
The MVF Co-owners were lucky enough to attend Twicon 2009, in Dallas, Texas, last summer and we each had the privelege of sitting in on the different panels that the amazing staff of Twilighted.net presented. It was one of the highlights of our trip! This year, we are excited to announce that the MVF Admin have been given the opportunity to work with Psymom and her dedicated staff to develop the fan fiction programming at Twicon 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada!
We are all huge fans of Twilighted and the work they do in providing fans with a quality archive of fan fiction stories to chose from. We look forward to this opportunity and can’t wait to work with them!
Last but not least is another plug for the Love Spelled Backwards is Love Valentine Challenge!
We are very excited about our newest challenge! We are offering real prizes in addition to banners in 4 categories, as well as a Reviewers award and a Judges Choice award.
