This week for Fic Rec Friday I’m starting with a rated R fic that is one of my all time faves-  Something Other by Unofficial Cullen.

In this fic, Bella is not a human or a vampire – she’s ‘Something Other’.   She is passing as a normal human teenager at Forks High School, being raised by a widower father.  Enter Edward Cullen.  Edward is a vampire; the same 100+ year old vampire that we all know and love.

As the treaty is tenuous, and Bella is clearly important to the Quileutes, Carlisle forbids Edward to seek out any kind of relationship with Bella.  When Edward listens to his heart, instead of the man he calls his father, things get interesting.

The plot is unique and intriguing, the characters well developed.  There are twists that you will never see coming.  All in all, this fic is an excellent, easy read that will leave you begging for more.

The second fic I’m reccing this week is The Longest Summer by lexiecullen17.  This one is rated NC-17 because our Lexie writes it dirty.

Edward is a counselor at an all-girls summer camp.  Bella is a returning camper turned counselor.  She’s had a crush on Edward for the past six years; what’s going to happen now that she’s old enough to pursue him?

This AH fic has all your favorite characters from Twilight – the Cullen siblings are all there, Jacob and Seth came over from the res, even Tanya makes an appearance.  The characters are ooc, but wonderfully in character at the same time.  Makes no sense, right? Wrong.  Edward is the same tortured soul, but for entirely different reasons.  Alice is her usual bubbly self, but doesn’t see the future.  Emmett is everyone’s big brother, and a repentant man whore.

With Seth and Edward both vying for Bella’s attention, how will she ever choose?

The last fic I’m reccing this week is The Man in Me by ArtBeatsandLife and this one is also rated NC-17 because that’s just how I roll.

After the Volturi left, the Cullens returned to their lives.   Jacob went back to the reservation until Renesmee was old enough, and then they all lived happily ever after, right?  Wrong.  (you really aren’t faring very well with the guessing games this week…)

Jacob is given the opportunity to go to UW and get his degree.  The Cullens pay his tuition and when he graduates, everyone thinks that he and Renesmee will settle down and be a family.  But Jacob isn’t sure if he’s ready to commit his life to the reservation.

This fic is a second ‘coming of age’ for Jacob – the one he missed when he phased.  He’s learning to reconcile the different parts of who he is with who he wants to be and who everyone else thinks he should be.  This fic showcases a different side of Jacob than we usually see in fan fiction.
