Who hasn’t had the dream where you wake up find you have the body of a supermodel? Well, unless you are a supermodel of course. For the forgettable , average,  Jackie Brighton, she wakes up  and her size 14 body now looks like that of a supermodel, but she is anything but happy about it.

I am thoroughly excited about this new series called “The Succubus Diaries” by Jill Myles.  I was perusing the shelves of Kroger, which I normally don’t do.  I prefer bookstores because the only books that tend to be at grocery stores are the top ten bestsellers and then a bunch of harlequin romance novels, which personally make me gag, but when I saw a J.R. Ward book I looked twice. At first glance I almost skipped over the first book of the series called, “Gentlemen Prefer Succubi,” because of the cliché male model, hair blowing in the wind, but I picked it up anyway.  I read through the first three chapters before I realized I should probably pay for it before I read it all the way through.

Jill Myles blends angels, demons, vampires and old Egyptian history together seamlessly. What I love about this book and what makes it different from other paranormal erotica is the main character, Jackie Brighton.  She was a normal before she was turned into a succubus. She wasn’t anything spectacular. She wore glasses, frumpy clothes, and wasn’t a small girl by any means, yet two devastingly handsome men wanted her that night. One sucked her blood, but didn’t kill her, the other fucked her senseless into the wee hours of morning.

Jackie wakes up in a dumpster. How the hell she got there, she has no idea. After pulling the rotting spaghetti out of her hair she runs into Noah, whom she apparently had a one-night stand with. Jackie doesn’t just have one-night stands, but flashes of the two of them begin to bombard her memory. After finding out that she was bitten by a vampire, Noah explains to her that she is now a succubus and not only is she now immortal, but she will require sex every two days. And for Jackie that is a big deal unlike her new best friend and fellow succubus, Remy.

The books are full of fun and laugh out-loud moments, like when Jackie finds out what Remy does for a living:

“Someone gave the thumbs up, and the director nodded, “Action, then.” I leaned forward nibbling on my sandwich. “How awesome to see a movie made on the front row?” I glanced over at the assistant, whose eyes were glued to the stage, and I turned my attention back there as well.

And I nearly choked on my sandwich.  Braddock had entered the room all right, naked as a jaybird. Remy was disrobing as well, and she had nothing on but a black garter belt and some stockings, and the highest spiked platform heels I’d ever seen.

Before I could spit out the piece of lettuce that was clogging my throat, they set upon each other like rabid wombats in mating season. And then I just couldn’t look away. Her tongue was all over his face, and then she was throwing him down on the bed and making a beeline for the biggest schlong I’d ever seen.

“Um, I managed , covering my eyes. “Is she doing what I think she is?”

The sounds of slurping and moaning echoed through the microphones on the set. “Oh yeah,” the assistant breathed, his eyes riveted to the bed.

“Are they … supposed to be doing that?” Remy’s eyes were blazing. Maybe her hormones went out of control and she was just nailing the first guy she’d run across.

The assistant looked at me in surprise.  “Miss Summore is a huge adult film star, didn’t you know?”

Awe hell.

Book two, “Succubus Like It Hot,” leaves our heroine with an ultimatum. Will Jackie choose between her loyal, golden angel, Noah, or her dark, bad boy Zane, why can’t she have them both? Well, we have to wait until December to find out. These books are definitely worth the read.

Moving on, I had an awesome conversation with the author of “You Belong to Me,” lilpieceofheaven, aka, Char, and author of this week’s WW submission, “All the Right Moves.”

Me:  Let’s start with an easy one.

Char: Alrighty

Me:  How did you discover fan fiction?

Char:  In general? It was just boredom being on the internet. I originally got into Good Charlotte fan fiction and posted on a site for it, then other bands. I got into Twi-fiction when I joined MVF, which I discovered through twitter.

Me:  I had no idea there was band fan fiction.

Char: Yeah. You can write about them being a band and doing day to day band things, like touring and albums and whatnot, or you could do like me and take the band members but put an AU twist on it, like making them vampires or angels/demons or anything else you want.

Me:  hmm interesting. What kind of fics do you like to read? AU? RP? AH?

Char:  With band fics, I tend to lean more towards AU. But with the Twilight ones, I don’t really care. I just read whatever sounds the most interesting. I care more about the plot that whether or not the Cullens are still vamps or Bella is still a clutzy high school human.

Me:  I read “You Belong With Me” last night and now I’m totally hooked! I’m a big fan of Nessie /Jake stories. What made you want to write YBWM?

Char:  First of all, yay! I hooked another one! Score!! lol. Secondly, I swear I’m not ripping off Stephenie Meyer, but I had a dream about it. The part where Jake reunites with Nessie outside the Cullen house just kinda came to me when I was sleeping and I woke up determined to write it out and see what would happen between the two of them.

Me:  I noticed you put it into The Brothel, does that mean we get to see some smut?

Char):  Hell yeah we do! Haha. It’s coming (no pun intended) eventually. Just not there yet.

Me:  I’m assuming some sweet first-time lovin’?

Char:  Yes…and maybe something else. Ya never know where your characters will take you.

Me:  Isn’t that the truth…  So tell me a little bit about your WW one-shot.

Char:  Well, I got inspired by all the hockey I’ve been watching lately and decided to do a hockey-centric one staring Mr. Emmett McCarty and Miss Rosalie Hale

ME:  Oh! That’s gonna be good!  I can totally see Emmett as a hockey player.

Char:  Yeah, he’s the perfect size/build for a defensemen. It was really easy to write him in that role.

Me: Do you have any favorite fics?

Char:  I’m addicted to In Pursuit of Normalcy right now. I literally bounce in my seat when it’s updated. And I’m also loving Vanity and Patience. It’s so cool to see the beginnings of Emmett and Rosalie since we don’t get to see much of it.

Me:  I haven’t gotten around to reading IPON yet. Who is Vanity and Patience written by?

Char:  achelle121.  And you should definitely read IPoN. Some amazing Jake/Nessie loving in it.

Me:  That’s what I keep hearing.  Who is your favorite paranormal/vampire genre character?

Char:  It’s a tie between Rhage and Rehv from the Black Dagger Brotherhood. The things I would do to them….

Me:  Gah!!

Char:  Gah?

Me:  I love BDB

Char:  Sweet!! High five on that one!

Me:  So you’re a BDB fan. Any other books you are swept up in?

Char: Non-paranormal: The Gossip Girl and It Girl series. Paranormal: the Dark Realm series by Delilah Devlin and the Vampire Diaries by LJ Smith. Although, I have problems with the latest one in that series…

Aaliyah (12:42 PM):  Vampire Diaries?

Char:  Yeah, she just went too far with the mythical creatures in book 5.

Me:  Ahh.. I haven’t read book 5 yet.

Char:  It’s alright, but…yeah fairies and kitfoxes and Elena being an angel? Too much for me.  She should’ve just stopped at vampires and werewolves.

Me:  I got sidetracked when you answered Rhev and Rhage as your favorite characters and didn’t ask the second half of that question. So, if you could ask them one question what would it be.

Char:  They are very distracting…

Aaliyah (12:47 PM):  Yes. They are.

Char:  Hmmmm….well I’d ask Rehv what he plans on doing for a living now that ZeroSum is gone. Rhage? I’d probably ask something stupid like if the beast has gotten better with his table manners, haha.

Char:  Why thank you!

Me:  Tell us something we would be surprised to know about you.

Char:The only thing I can think of is that I still sleep with a teddy bear at nearly 24 years old. How PG is that? lmao

Me:  Awe… I think that’s cute. AND very PG. lol

Char:  He’s modeled after my favorite lead singer, so I can claim that I slept with him last night and it’s not a lie.

Me:  lmao. That’s not so PG.

Char:  haha, true!

Me:  Okay question.  Who are your three favorite characters who are not human, but not vampires in the paranoramal genre.

Char:  Jacob, obviously. Then Lassiter from BDB cause he’s a sarcastic jackass, like myself. And finally…any of the Dark Hunters from the Shadowmen series by Jennifer St Giles. They’re wolf shapeshifting spirit warriors.

Me:  Can you pick one Dark Hunter?

Char:  Jared cause he was the most clueless and therefore the most adorable, haha

Me:  I need to read that series.  Have you read Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series?

Char:  I’ve read a couple short stories that were in compilation books. I read the one about Fury and one about…uhhh…the panther guy *taps forehead* can’t remember his name now. Starts with a D…

Me”  Yeah, yeah. I can’t think of the name off the top of my head. But damn those are some sexy characters!

Char:  Hell yeah they are! I need money so I can pick ‘em up. There’s, like, a million, haha

Me:  Yeah I know. I’m on book 6.

Char:  Obviously further than me, lol

Me:  I get one a paycheck. Good thing I get paid every week!

Char:  Haha, yeah!

Me:  Okay, again I got sidetracked.  I’m too ADD to do an interview.

Char:  Happens to me all the time .

Me:  Between Jacob, Lassiter and Jared, of the three which would you A. Fuck, B. Marry, and C. Kill?

Char:  I’d fuck Lassiter, cause it seems fun. Kill Jared cause he’d probably end up getting on my nerves. Marry Jacob, so I could repeatedly fuck him .

ME:  LMAO. Well I think that about all I have. Anything you want to add?
