Weekly Roundup at MyVampFiction
I hope you are all having a great weekend!
We are trying something a little bit different called the Weekly Roundup. Here you’ll find links to all of the posts from this week in one neat little blog.
We all had quite a bit to talk about this week. First up was KariAnn and her review of J.R. Ward’s Lover Revealed, the 4th book in the popular Black Dagger Brotherhood series:
So I just finished Lover Revealed late last night, and I’m literally twitching to start the next one, despite the fact that I PROMISED myself I would pump out IPoN 32 before starting on Vishous’s story. Not to mention that I’d write this review while it’s still fresh on mind. Well, at least I’m making good on that one, at any rate!
In a brief synopsis, Revealed is the story of Butch O’Neal, a former police detective and friend of Beth’s who was first introduced to us in Dark Lover and who got dragged into the vampire world at around the same time as Beth. Trapped on the fringes between the human world and the vampire – but not really belonging to either – Butch is haunted by a past involving a sister who was murdered when he was only twelve and a family who blamed him.

On Tueday’s Sound Bytes with SusanAshlea, she paired up with Meesh to discuss some opposing view to the newest installation of the Black Dagger Brotherhood novels, Lover Mine:
Last week, Jules and Megsly gave you their review and thoughts on the newest in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, Lover Mine. Well, me (SusanAshlea) and Meesh weren’t as enamored with the book as our cohorts were. So, for the sake of argument, the two of us decided to play Devil’s Advocate and talk about what we didn’t like about the book.
Read on to see what the two of us had to say, but be warned, there are SPOILERS AHEAD!
Click here to read their opposing views, but there are LOTS of spoilers.
Wednesday rolled around and true to it’s “hump day” nickname, Jules and Saluki brought us some…well, humping:
Have you ever wondered what would happen if vampire Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries met vampire slayer Faith Lehane from Buffy? If your answer involves Damon falling prey to Faith’s slayer skills…well…you would be wrong. Cue our very own Jules and her second round of Wicked Wednesdays!
You will definitely want to read the rest of the blog for Jules’ interview with Saluki.
And when you are done with the blog, go read and review Salvatore and the Slayer. You won’t regret it. I promise.
On Thursday, Mouthing of with Meesh discussed how some of our favorite villians eventually become “heroes,” while discussing “One Silent Night,” a book in Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series:
You wouldn’t expect there to be any circumstance that would make him likeable, would you? I certainly didn’t. I thought I knew what he was all about from all the stuff I had read of him in the more than a dozen earlier books, but I was wrong.
You don’t want to miss out on the rest of her column, so click here to read.
And on Friday, Jules gave all of us Truebies a treat with a preview of what’s in store for our friends in Bon Temps this summer:
June is looking like an excellent month for us thirsty vamp lovers. As we bid adieu to the regular television season, we get to say hello to a brand new season of True Blood (any Truebies out there?) If you’re there, I’m sure you’re well aware that June 13 should be highlighted in red on your calendar.
Click here for more juicy info about Season 3 of True Blood!
And don’t forget about our True Blood giveaway:
We are giving away two 2010 True Blood calendars. Just email your name and favorite True Blood character to admin@myvampfiction.com between Saturday, May 29 and Friday, June 4th. We will select two random winners and announce them on Monday, June 7th. Good luck!
I like this…especially since I’m lame and only seem to make it over here once or twice a week, so this allows me a neat little way to glimpse the blogs that have been posted!
