The Fandom Gives Back

It amazes me how, in a fandom rife with drama, we can pull together and do something so amazing- raising money to fight childhood cancer via Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.  The first round of TFGB raised over $87,000 in just seven days.  The second round – TFGB: Eclipse – has just started.

There are over 630 opportunities to donate -

There are one-shot offers from fandom favorites, as well as authors still waiting to be discovered.    Many of the authors are offering alternate POV outtakes to their stories.  Others are offering a one-shot of the winner’s choice.  There is Twilight inspired jewelry, offers of banners and graphics, and so, so much more.  There is truly something for everyone.

Prices range from $.99 starting bids, to at least one fic I found up to $750 with multiple bids already.  If the item you want is out of your price range, band together with your fic sisters and brothers and raise that price!  The higher you bid, the more money gets donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Bidding runs until Saturday, July 3rd at 11:59 PM.  At the time of posting this, there are over 1200 registered users on TFGB site.  That means, that already, only half of the registered users will win an auction (not accounting for multiple item listings) so HURRY!  Hurry and bid now!
