Wicked Wednesday has a ménage à trois

Threesome, ménage à trois, orgy, whatever you call it, this week’s Wicked Wednesday delivers it big time.  So, if you’re not old enough to watch movies about this week’s subject, or threesome’s aren’t your thing, you should probably skip this post.

This week’s Wicked Wednesday entry is titled, “Suck It Up” and involves three characters that I have never imagined jumping into the sack together.  I sat down with the author, Cedward, about writing fan fic, lemons, and how the heck she came up with a threesome between Rose, Jacob, and Emmett.

Saluki: Tell me how you first discovered Twilight.

Cedward: I was at the Las Vegas Harry Potter fandom meet up and some of the members were discussing the series. After a struggle, I trusted a few friends and started the series. I was up until 3am that morning, much to the husband’s dismay and went out and bought the next book the following day. I had all three of the books to date read in a week. The following week was when Breaking Dawn came out.

Saluki: How would you compare the HP and Twilight fandoms?

Cedward: I think as far as the two fandoms go, Twilight has surpassed Harry Potter. I mean Harry Potter was there and then it became a movie, but with Twilight it’s like I heard about the books then like a month later it was this world wide phenomenon.

Saluki:  Besides the Twilight series, are there other books/TV shows in the genre that you like?

Cedward: I really enjoy and highly recommend the Vampire Academy Series. Richelle Mead writes what I like to read, UST and a slow building relationship that is on the verge of exploding at any moment. I have also read the Sookie Stackhouse Series, which I am anticipating Season 3 of True Blood, not to mention the House of Night Series, Morganville Vampires and the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series. Oh, and Vampire Diaries, though I haven’t read the Return to Nightfall portions yet; also I really enjoy the TV series, though it’s completely whacked from the books.

Saluki: What inspired you to start writing fan fiction?

Cedward: I was talking with a man friend online and he told me read this story.  It was a Harry/Hermione fanfic, and at the time I had no idea what that was. I read it, researched it and soon found my OTP in that series. I took a hiatus for sometime form the fanfic world and returned in 2008 with the awesomeness that is Twilight.

Saluki: What are some of your all time favorite fics?

Cedward: Though it’s not vampire related, one of my all time favorite fanfics is ‘Phantom of Hogwarts’. It’s set after the war and in a Twi-wizardesque play competition. It’s written by Good_Witch, my old high school theatre teacher. She’s been working on it since 2004, and it’s just now in its final stages.

As for Twilight, ‘From the Cutting Room Floor’ by Phoenix Rising  is one that I always find my way back to. There’s another one called ‘Fire and Ice’ by Franny I enjoy.

Saluki: So, you’ve met some of the Cullens. Besides Kellan, who have you met? I’ve met Peter Facinelli and Billy Burke.

Cedward: Peter Facinelli for me as well, saw Billy Burke and then there was Ashley Greene and Jackson Rathbone twice when he was here Las Vegas with his band, 100 Monkeys.  Oh, and Edi Gathegi as well.

Saluki: Jackson kills me when he’s up on stage.  And Peter is just so flipping nice!

Cedward: Me too and he’s just a doll.  I had a bit to drink on New Years (read as a whole flask of Mailbu damned near, and 4 beers and I nearly attacked the boy in passing to the bathroom.

Saluki: This is a good segue way into a little tradition we have here at MVF – name your three fave male vamps – any series

Cedward: Jasper, Dimitiri and…Michael

Saluki: Okay, now who would you marry, screw and kill.

Cedward: Marry Jasper, screw Dimitri and his hot Russianess and kill Michael.

Saluki: So, Rose, Jacob, and Emmett – I found that a very interesting combination of characters.  I can totally see Rose and Jacob going at it.  Their relationship is so combative, but don’t think it’s too far fetched that there would be an underlying sexual tension there.  I was surprised with the addition of Emmett.  I guess I didn’t see him initially as the bi type.  What’s the story behind your fic?

Cedward: While reading ‘Breaking Dawn’ I always thought that there was some sexual tension between Jacob and Rosalie and I just wanted them to bone and get over it. I wanted to stray from the traditional pairings and do something a little more adventurous. It initially started out as a Jacob/Rosalie, but when I pitched it to my friend she said she could see Emmett being down for a threesome.  I thought about it, and decided to throw him into the fray. While he does finger and fuck Jacob’s ass, I don’t see him as bisexual in the least bit. To me, Emmett is a voyeur and seeing Rosalie getting nailed by another guy is a turn on, and rather then DPing Rosalie, does the next best thing. Not to mention, after having met Kellan Lutz a couple of times (4/8.5 Cullens to date), the growling that Emmett does in the story, he really does it, and it’s amazingly hot.

Saluki: Love the title of your entry by the way!

Cedward: Thank you, I tried to figure out what to name it and well, everything gets started with Jacob saying it to Rosalie.

Saluki: Sometimes I can’t get past Jacob being this baby faced kid. I think it’s because Taylor is just so sweet in real life.

Cedward: Right? but now he’s 18, so it’s okay to lust for him now…

Saluki: I wonder how many women were counting down the days until he was legal?

Cedward: A lot of them I am sure!  I mean hell, I remember being 16 seeing a 12 year old Radcliffe and going man he’s hot, but I felt dirty, but now he’s all like here’s my penis world, enjoy!

Saluki: yeah, that just…he’s Harry Potter, know what i mean?

Cedward: He’s a trooper though when it comes to new releases though for both Twilight and Harry Potter.

Saluki: Wow, did we get off course *lol* Has writing lemons always been easy or did you struggle at first?

Cedward: I’ve never really had any problems with writing lemons. I was always the child looking for the scrambled porn at the age of 8, and I started reading fairly young and read a lot of the naughty stuff, like ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ series by Anne Rice. Between movies and books, I got a lot of my knowledge from those. I remember Good_Witch asking me at one time, “How do you know so much about gay sex?” My only reply was that I watched a lot of Queer as Folk.

Saluki: What’s your writing process? Do you listen to music?  Write an outline?

Cedward: When working on multiple chapter stories, I do tend to outline a little, like what I want for each chapter. When it’s one shots,  I just think of what I want and let it flow out of me. Occasionally, I do hear a song on the radio that sparks an interest in me for a story. Like Paparazzi by Lady Gaga, that song kind of makes me want to write a Jasper/Bella.
