Today I am going to recommend some one of my favorite new authors in the Twific fandom: Bforqueen. Somehow I stumbled upon one of her posts in the Twilighted forums right about the time she started writing fan fiction. She had already submitted the first two chapters to MyVampFiction’s Dungeon and I fell in love! In the short time she’s been writing, her two multi-chapter fics have become my favorites. So, for your reading enjoyment, I decided to rec them today:

Fallen Princess, rated NC-17

She was born to evil, meant to lead.But all she wanted was to be loved.When her life slides downhill fast,can she get it together in time to save herself and the rest of the world?

Fallen Princess tells the story of Luciana, a vampire/human hybrid who has been raised by the Volturi. She has finally reached “adulthood” only to realize that she has been an unwitting pawn in a much more evil game. On the day of her seventh birthday, not only does she give away her virginity (not telling who she gives it to), but she also finds out her father and uncles plan to marry her off to a rich and powerful family by basically giving her up to the highest bidder. It’s about this time she finds out that things aren’t so wonderful in the castle, and there has been so much going on behind the scenes. When she stumbles upon a gruesome discovery, she makes the choice to leave.

This story is fast pasted, full of action and horror and romance…it’s insane not to read it. There are some plot twists that you definitely won’t see coming, and some of them are unveiled fairly quickly. Lucy’s relationships with the different vampires in Volterra are actually quite heartwarming, and you get to see her transition from a lost little girl to a very amazing woman. Absolution, rated NC-17

Will Felix be able to find love amongst the ruins and find the absolution he seeks?

Absolution is a companion story to Fallen Princess, which tells the story of Felix. In Fallen Princess, Felix falls in love with Lucy and an unfortuante event forces them to part unwillingly. In Absolution, we see everything through Felix’s eyes, and we discover how much truly goes on behind closed doors that Lucy never sees and is completely oblivious to. When Felix has an opportunity for happiness with someone other than his beloved princess, will he take it, or will the chance at llove slip through his fingers once again?

Well, obviously, I love anything that has Felix as a main character, and I truly adore the way Bforqueen writes him. She has a great handle on his entire sense of self that I forget it’s a female author writing the story.  While the underlying plot of this story is scary and could be considered horror, she writes so beautifully that it feels like it’s a romance.  Don’t get me wrong, there is romance in this story, but through Felix’s eyes we see what’s really happening with the Volturi elders.  And it’s anything but romantic.  There are some comedic moments in the story as well, which add a little levity to the seemingly dire situation.  Another must read, in my opinion. Rise to Power, Rated NC-17

He was never quite satisfied with his life; always wanting more. She saw his potential and what he could do for her. Together they would rule the world.

Rise to Power is Bforqueen’s o/s that won the Volturi fan fiction challenge hosted by MVF earlier this summer. This tells the story of how Caius came to be, and let me tell you, it’s not pretty. Caius is a loathsome creature, and was even in his human life. It only makes sense that his bitterness and rage would be magnified tenfold once he became a vampire. His relationship with Athenadora is far from romantic, but it’s compelling at the same time. If you are looking for an exciting and haunting read, this is for you. I will give a disclaimer though: this fic deals with very dark themes and violence. Read at your own risk. CLICK HERE to read Rise to Power
