What team are you on?

Me? I’m Team FelixDamonAlcideJackStarkWrathBarronsAngel-Spike-Angel… the list goes on.

I have been and am currently in the process of reading many different series in my favorite genre, and in anything popular, there are always “teams” that develop. Something I have found myself asking and being asked when I meet someone new is, “So, are you Team Edward or Team Jacob?” My answer to that is…neither. So, here are the teams I currently reside on (pictures of yumminess included!):

Team Felix
I’m actually a general Team Volturi fan, but of course Felix grew on me when I started writing Finding Forever. That love was compounded when I started reading other Volturi based fics. For the record, I guess I would be Team Edward because I think the book ended the way it should have. But when it comes to fics, I’m always looking for the evil vamps with a heart of gold, which is why being on Team Felix suits me.

Team Damon
Um, hello Salvatore brothers! I fell in love with The Vampire Diaires 16 years ago when I was in high school. The books are way different than the CW series, but they did get the Salvatore brothers nailed down pretty good. I was all about Damon when I read the books, and I’m all about Damon now. I was and still am a Damon/Elena shipper, and yes, Stefan has the big guns and the ripped abs, but Damon has the snark and all the good lines. Plus he does that super sexy thing with his eyebrows that always melts my…heart.

Team Alcide
I have a feeling I’m not the only one on this team after Season 3 of True Blood. When I first started reading the books and watching the HBO series, I was admittedly Team Bill even though there was something about Eric that I liked. After watching Season 3, I think that Alcide is the team for me. I think he genuinely cares for Sookie and wants to help her out. Plus he’s got a really great butt and a ripped body, that never hurts. He’s got a little extra something more than Eric or Bill…a heartbeat. He’s not undead and he’s not competing for Sookie for his benefit. At least not as of the end of Season 3 he wasn’t. I haven’t read any more of the books to know what happens, but knowing Alcide will be back in Season 4 is enough to keep my subscription to HBO open.

Team Jack Force
I’m a Jack/Schuyler shipper. I’ve wanted them to be together since the first book and after reading the most recent book (which I reviewed on the website yesterday) I still want those two to be together. For those of you who haven’t read the Blue Bloods series, I’ll try to explain: Jack Force is a centuries old vampire who has gone through several different cycles, in which he has lived as different political and famous historical figures. Schuyler, the half human/half vampire daughter of Allegra, has never been through any other cycles. I think Jack is perfect for helping Schuyler through the rest of her enternal life and since he had a whimsical affection for Schuyler’s mother during his earlier cycles, it makes sense that Jack would be drawn to Schuyler. Their relationship is the epitome of serendipity. The picture at left is what I imagine Jack Force to look like.

Team Stark
Ah, Stark from the House of Night. Early on in the series, Zoey is paired up with Eric Night and I never really liked him. He’s too much of a cry baby. Stark showed up on the scene, a transfer from a different House of Night, and he immediately struck a bond with Zoey. He’s always there for Zoey even though she has a knack for finding herself juggling more than one guy. Stark isn’t always nice or courteous but he’s a solid character and I think Zoey needs that. His “celtic mask” (the name for the facial tattoos that all vampyres have in this series) actually makes him look kind of hot, as opposed to Eric’s which makes him look a little pansy-ish.

Team Wrath
I can’t say much more about Wrath than…purrrrrr. Wrath of the Black Dagger Brotherhood (and king of his race) would actually probably kick someone’s ass if they referred to themselves as “Team Wrath”. But still, he’s the embodiment of sexy and thrilling and scary and all of the above. I don’t have a picture because everyone has a different image of Wrath in their head and mine is…different. For the record, I always pictured Wrath as looking something like Peter Steele. Not because I find Peter Steel sexy, but because he had that feralness about him that I imagine Wrath to have. If you’re curious, here is a great artistic rendering of what Wrath might look like (and no it’s not a playgirl picture of Peter Steele, alright?) Okay, moving on before my thoughts drift back to Wrath and I get side……what were we talking about again? OH! Right.

Team Barrons
Have you read the Fever Series? No? Why not? Jericho Z. Barrons is one of the sexiest, most asshattishly charming antagonistic protagonist characters in paranormal fiction right now. He’s obviously immortal, and has many many deep and probably dark secrets that he won’t divulge. There’s always a hint of evil hanging around him, yet he proves himself to be one of the “good guys” over and over again. And lets not forget the whole Mac/Barrons/pri-ya stuffs. Hot hot hot… And this picture is of Eric Etebari, who the author of the Fever Series has said her pick for Jericho would be.

Team Angel-Spike-Angel
Okay, so this one is where my resolve really falters. I loved Angel from the beginning and I loathed Spike when he tried to keep Buffy and Angel apart. IMO, Buffy + Angel = 2b 2gether 4eva. Well, Angel up and moved to L.A. and Buffy up and went to college and that is when things started to change. I started to ship Angel/Cordelia (until she pulled that weirdo Mrs. Robinson stuff with Connor) and I started to ship Buffy/Spike. It wasn’t until the very end where Spike gave himself up to save Buffy and the Scoobies and mysteriously showed up at Wolfram & Hart that I realized…no…Angel and Buffy need to be together. And in my brain, Angel totally defeated all of the hell that broke loose at the end of the series and ran to find Buffy and they lived happily ever after. Please don’t ruin my fantasy.
