Promises of the Wishing Moon, an Original Fiction by Cedward

As you know, MVF recently hosted an Original Fiction contest centered around erotica. What most of you might not know is that we only received one entry. As a result, we decided to feature the entry on the blog and give the author, Cedward, a little love and appreciation for all of her hard work.
So, you were the only entry in our erotica contest, which frankly bummed us out. But, we decided to make lemonade out of lemons and here we are. So, how did you get the idea for your entry?
Cedward: Before I ever read any fairy stories, I had an idea in my head for one, but more of a YA one. I took this idea and added a little bit of wiccan readings and rolled it all into one little ball. The Merry Gentry and MacKayla Lane series helps kicked the creative juices into gear.
I loved the story of The Wishing Moon and how you incorporated it into the story. Did you have to do a lot of research for your entry?
Cedward: Surprisingly, I did a lot of research which is something I hadn’t done to the extent I done this time. I basically recalled something my friend and I used to do back in high school and went to see if it really did have a name and myth behind it and in doing so found out all I needed to know.
I love reading about the Fae. What is your favorite series?
Cedward: Oh dear, this is a toughy. I’ve only read the two mentioned before. They’re both amazing series, but I think I’ll. Go with the Mac series. I thrive on sexual tension and tension just in general and this series really delievered on both. There was just the right amount of humor, tension and mystery to leave me wanting more. Even though it’s ended, I still want and need it.
Have you written anything original before? How did this compare to writing fan fiction?
Cedward: I have for school. It was a story about an Irish worling lady who on the way home gets raped and as a result and becomes pregnant. I was just a ten page short story, but the people that read it loved it as did the teacher. Other than that, I’ve STARTED many, but have only ever finished Promises of the Wishing Moon.
Now that you know a little bit about her story, “Promises of the Wishing Moon,” I hope you are all ready to go read it and let her know how awesome it is! Just in case you need more prodding, here is a brief teaser:
The moment she stepped through the archway, the world around her shifted, the modern world and the people in it disappearing. Looking around, she saw the familiar forest she had grown accustomed to seeing once a year as a child, with its thousands of trees covered in moss and the vibrant colored flowers that held hidden treasures.
Walking further in, she followed the familiar path she’d taken when she was younger. Beth walked to the edge of a pink, water filled pond and bent down to dip her hand into the cool liquid, cupping some in both hands to take a sip of the sweet water.
“You’ve come, Eilís.”
Startled by the familiar voice, her head snapped up to see the man she’d not seen in nearly seven years.
“Conlan?”
