The Vampire Diaries Review & Recap: Love a Ghost Forever

This was a very interesting episode tonight…we are starting to see what these mysterious consequences are that must be paid for Bonnie resurrecting Jeremy.

We also see Mason Lockwood getting a little vengeance on Damon, Anna creeping in on Jeremy, much to Bonnie’s dismay, and Elena actually trying to get Jeremy to locate Lexi, so that she can start saving Stefan.  Bonnie ropes Caroline into helping her try out a new spell in the original haunted house that Bonnie brought Jeremy back.  Jeremy finally starts to wonder about Anna’s reasons for hanging on, but then kisses her.

Very happy moment for Bonnie when the spell works as its brought her Grams back to give her guidance, after of course telling her what a mess she’s created.  Unfortunately, when Grams appears, so do all the rest of the ghosts hanging around Mystic Falls.

Lexi teams up with Elena to try and detox Stefan, Grams and Bonnie team up to fix Bonnie’s mess, and Mason unbelievably teams up with Damon to yet and locate an old family relic that is supposed to kill an original vampire – hmm…curioser and curioser!

Lexi starts a fast forwarded crash course version of ripper detox 101…by drawing out his bloodlust, Damon and Mason start searching for this mysterious thing that is buried on Lockwood property, but Damon has a hard time believing that Mason isn’t bent on revenge of some sort.  Bonnie finds out that her boyfriend, Jeremy was kiddie.g Anna and is rightfully devastated.  Anna runs into some very bad vampires set out on revenge against the founder families, and one of them turns up dead, having from a tree.

Stefan is going through major withdraws and is lying, yelling, insulting, until Lexi starts stabbing him with stakes repeatedly, to try and make Stefan feel something.  I think I forgot to mention that this epi also stems around a party/celebration, and the famed necklace. Which seems to be missing yet again, but perhaps this time, Anna is involved? Hmm, we will see I guess!

Damon gets shishkabob’d in the cave, and Mason comes to the rescue, much to Damon’s surprise.  Elena tells Jeremy to stop living his life for a ghost…literally and metaphorically, and Anna (gasp) gives him the necklace that Bonnie needs to send all the ghosts back to where they being.

After Mason frees Damon, they kinda make amends, after Mason says he doesn’t need revenge, but redemption, and they go about their quest to find the old relic.  Caroline sees the really bad vampires closing in on Tyler’s mom, and jumps in to save her life.  Anna and Jeremy tearfully split ways (finally) and Jeremy makes the right decision and takes the necklace back to Bonnie, so that she can break the spell.  Elena tells Lexi that she has to hurry the process cuz Bonnie is about to break the spell, Damon reaches a barrier and can’t go any further so Masons carries on without him.  Bonnie and Grams break the spell, right when everything’s about to happen, but we get a happy ending, in that Anna and Pearl (her mom) are reunited as they go back to the other side.

Alaric comes to Damon’s rescue, and they make amends and become friends again, after Damon’s version of an apology.  Stefan thinks that Elena has given up on him, but Elena still has hope (yawn) but, here’s the awesome part…she tells him she’s not going to wait forever for him and she refuses to live a ghost for the rest of her life. (yay!)

Bonnie and Jeremy I think are done, she won’t even listen to his explanation, not that I blame her, but right as Jeremy walks out, the fire roars to life again, and there is the necklace again…whole and unharmed.  Alaric and Damon find markings in the cave they’re I. And no one BK what they are…sounds like next weeks episode is going to be a gooder! Can’t wait to watch :)
