What’s on Sarah’s Bookshelf?
Last time, I shared what was on my nightstand that I’m either reading or is in my shortlist to be read. This time, I thought I’d actually share my bookshelf with you. I have two six-foot bookshelves in my living room. They’re full to the point that books are stacked on their sides because I can fit more that way. They’re organized by author, in the order they were released, by series. They’re also organized according to book genre – yes, I am that girl.
The one on the right is Thriller/Murder Mystery type books. I’m in love with Jonathan Kellerman, Sue Grafton, Patricia Cornwell, Thomas Harris, David Baldacci and so many others I don’t have space to list them all here.
The one on the left is my paranormal bookshelf. It’s got The Harry Potter series (and a bunch of it’s extras – The Tales of Beedle the Bard, Care of Magical Creatures, etc) The Lord of the Rings books, including The Hobbit. It’s got Twilight, Black Dagger Brotherhood, House of Night, Broken Heart, Morganville and I can’t even remember what else.
On top of all that, I have a Kindle; her name is Flo. The books on it are a little more eclectic. I use it mostly for research when I’m writing, so there are books on Charles Manson and Heaven’s Gate. I also use it for impulse buys when I want something new to read so it has more of Broken Heart and the entire Fever series by Karen M. Moning.
Basically, people, what I’m telling you is that I’m single-handedly keeping my local indie bookstore in business…
