What’s on Sue’s Bookshelf…again

I went to visit Saluki last weekend, and this is what I came away with. So, as you can see I have PLENTY to keep me occupied for awhile.
However I do have some other books on my Nook that are ARCs. I want to finish those before diving headfirst into the pool of books stacked up on my desk. I really hope we don’t get an earthquake anytime soon, because that stack is rather precarious.
Seers, by Heather Frost
For Kate Bennet, surviving the car wreck that killed her parents means big changes and even bigger problems. As she begins to see auras and invisible people, Kate must learn to trust Patrick O’Donnell, a handsome Guardian, or risk her life being overrun with Demons. She soon realizes that both she and her heart are in big-time trouble.
I’m not very far into Seers, but I’m enjoying what I’ve read so far, especially Kate’s BFF. The premise is interesting and it seems to get going pretty quickly, considering I’m only about 30 pages in. I look forward to reading more.
The Way We Fall, by Megan Crewe
When a deadly virus begins to sweep through sixteen-year-old Kaelyn’s community, the government quarantines her island—no one can leave, and no one can come back.
Those still healthy must fight for dwindling supplies, or lose all chance of survival. As everything familiar comes crashing down, Kaelyn joins forces with a former rival and discovers a new love in the midst of heartbreak. When the virus starts to rob her of friends and family, she clings to the belief that there must be a way to save the people she holds dearest.
This is the kind of book that is right up my alley. I absolutely crave the Dystopian genre these days. This one is on deck after I finish Seers, and I hope I get to it before the galley runs out!
Be on the lookout for both Seers, which should be in stores now and The Way We Fall, which comes out in January!

Precarious pile indeed, but full of tantalizing reads. :) One of my nightshirts has a stack of books like that one it with the phrase – “So many books, so little time.” So very true!!!! Enjoy your new finds.

That stack does look rather unstable! Mom told me she has more books ready for me when I see her in a couple of weeks *lol*
