The Vampire Diaries: All kinds of stuff going down

Wow! So, yet again, tonight’s episode is happening around an event…this time its a homecoming dance. I think I need to move to Mystic Falls so I can get in on all these parties! ;)
To lure Klaus home, they have tricked him into believing that his father, Michael is finally dead. Everyone is in on it, even Rebecca. But, to make sure that she doesn’t go back on her word, Elena stakes her in the back.
In an unfortunate event, the dance is cancelled due to a mysteriously flooded gym, only for Tyler to come through and say everyone can use Gus place for a party. Only we find out, that its actually Klauses party to celebrate his homecoming and father’s death.
As the party goes on, Stefan asks Klaus to be uncompelled for payment for delivering his father. Klaus of course agrees, but we all know by now that we can’t trust a word out of his mouth! Damon and Michael semi discuss the plans for Klaus, and Michael shows him the mighty white oak stake that will slay Klaus, we also learn a bit of the story of why Michael feeds only off vampires instead of living flesh. Stefan comes there to tell him of Klauses appearance at Tyler’s party and Michael attacks him, drinking his blood till he’s unconscious.
Tyler tells Caroline that Klaus knows that they all have something planned, but Caroline tells him he’s wrong…then Tyler injects her with vervane to supposedly protect her. Klaus and his father have a little chat, and Michael tells Klaus that he’s tired of his little games, and although his hybrids are part wolf, they are also part vampire…which means Michael can still compel them to do whatever he wants.
Michael calls Klaus out to fight, and swears that he’ll kill Elena if he won’t face him, Klaus calls his bluff and Michael then stabs Elena and while Klauses attention is on the scene in front of home, Damon comes in from behind and stakes Klaus in the back. All of a sudden, Elena gets up and bombs the hybrids (obviously it was Katherine, and they played switch-a-roo) but just when Damn nearly succeeds, Stefan comes to Klauses rescue, thus earning his freedom from Klauses compulsion.
We come back to Caroline waking in bed and being pissed at Tyler, but understands why he did it. We then learn that Tyler is happy with who he is now…even though he is sired to Klaus, and he tries to make Caroline understand, but to no avail.
Elena and Damon try to come to terms with what went wrong, but end up agreeing to let Stefan go…no matter the consequences. We also find out that Katherine and Stefan actually planned for it all to happen…just so they could not only get Stefan to care again…but also to get him mad…and to exact revenge on Klaus! By stealing.f his family from him… Phew! Can’t wait till next week!
You know, I honestly have to say, that the more episodes of this series I watch; the more I’m hooked! I find myself almost literally counting down the days till I can watch to see what happens next. Now, granted The Vampire Diaries is nowhere near as gory nor racy as my number one favorite show: True Blood, but neither is it quite as PG as Twilight, which I also absolutely love. The Vampire Diaries is a nice mix of both, appealing to a very wide range of viewers…do great job, and way to keep it interesting, and keeping me addicted :)
Till next week my friends,
Anjela
