Hahaha, that was the best thing ever!!! I’m soo glad you guys asked me to join, if you hadn’t I’d hate to see how boring and lonely my life would have been for the past two years. You guys definitely gave me adventure and many, many laughs :)

What makes the show Grimm is definitely the paranormal sidekick (pictured above) that gets called for help on almost everything. He’s a riot and I probably wouldn’t watch the show if he wasn’t on it.

As for Once? Evil Queen definitely oozes bitchiness and creepiness with this heart collecting and crushing habit of hers. I have no idea who the heart belonged to that Hansel and Gretel gave her. Are we sure it was a heart? I thought they just showed the leather pouch but never what was inside. Hmmm…. interesting.

As for the new dude? I got the impression that Henry’s dad is a one night stand-er that Emma might not remember due to too much alcohol intake. Still, it would be a bit strange for him to just show up now. Although that leaves the question of who he could possibly be.

And yes, Gold is equally as creepy as the Queen is evil. His voice as Rumpelstiltskin gives me chills, but was I moved by the story of how he tried to protect his son from the Ogre wars. I can only imagine that it’s that loss that drives him to become what we eventually know him to be. His Gold personality is a bit more pleasant for sure, but just as freaking devious – and I love how he very subtly continues to thwart the Queen/Mayor at every turn.

Once Upon A Time, 100%!

Ok, so I haven’t seen Grimm, maybe I’ll catch it in reruns, but I just LOVE Once Upon A Time. We all watch and discuss it as a family as well.

Doesn’t that woman just ooze bitchiness? *shiver* That’s gotta be a fun role to play. ;p And Mr. Gold/Rumpelstilskin? His laugh, and the way he moves his hands, and the way he talks, and omg his skin… yeah. He’s an interesting character, too. I could go on, but I won’t.

So, who’s the new guy? Cade thinks it’s Henry’s dad, but wouldn’t Emma have recognized him? And whose heart did Hanzel & Gretyl give the queen?

I´ve never had goals. Only things I wish/plan I will be able to do as the year goes on. The beginning of every year is pretty stressfull to me because of all the things I plan on doing. You´re right, last year did suck. For me it was mostly because of the way I approached things and how I didn´t do what I planned. But,I´m starting fresh now. 2012 will be the year I get my driver´s license, the year I lose weight and get healthy, the year I´ll decide what to do about my job and the year I go back to my German classes. Good luck to us all :-)

LOVE your recap.

I caught up today and I could just tell that this season is on track for a Elena/Damon pairing. I think she’ll eventually end up with Stefan, but not before she has a little something with his brother first. He’s been her rock this season so I look forward to seeing where that is going.

I’m actually sad to see Jeremy go. I wonder what job offer Steven R. McQueen got for him to be written off the show, or if this was part of the plan all along. But it was still sad when they were all standing there watching his memory take a beating.

Klaus is such an epic bad guy but deep down I really feel bad for him. Everything he does is a result of stuff he had no control over. His mom having an affair – which is obviously why Mikael dislike him so much, and then subsequently cursing him so he would be alone and turning his back on him. I’d probably turn out like him too. *lol*

Anyhoo…I’m interested to see where this is all heading!

I’m not calling them resolutions either because I always break resolutions. I’m calling them goals this year and mine are a lot like yours. Healthier eating habits. Exercise. Enjoy what I have and not stress out about things beyond my control.

Here’s to 2012 and the hopes that it’s better than 2011.

Excellent review! I also loved this book for its complexity. Sabine’s slow defection to the good side was extremely enjoyable to read as she warred with herself against her feelings for Rydstrom. It was also nice to see Rydstrom caught off guard by how well Fate had chosen his mate for him, and how she was completely the opposite of what he had searched for his entire immortality.

One of my favorites in my “keep to read over and over” pile. :)

2011 did have a lot of excitement with endings of favorites in series and movies, and new beginnings with others. I can’t wait to see how 2012 picks up where so many things left off and makes some of our favorites in books and movies even better. :) I also look forward to continuing on my journey with the ladies here at MVF and all our readers and visitors to this site.
